Biography

Sophie performs in Europe, Asia and the United States. Her knowledge of the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and contemporary repertoires stems from her experience, talent and thirst for learning. She is the first Carmen at the Saigon Opera in Vietnam, a role she went on to perform on various French national stages, and then Saint-Saëns’s Frédégonde in the same house, Jacqueline in Gounod’s Le Médecin malgré lui at the Saint-Etienne Opera House, Nancy Tang in Adams’s Nixon in China at the Théâtre du Châtelet. She premiered the role of Galathée in Pesson’s Pastorale at the Théâtre du Châtelet, she performed Candelas in Falla’s El Amor Brujo, Ulrica in Verdi’s Masked Ball at Mancinelli Theatre in Italy, Offenbach’s La Grande Duchesse de Gérolstein, La Périchole, etc…
