A mezzo-soprano, Sophie performs in Europe, Asia and the United States. Her knowledge of the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and contemporary repertoire is the result of her experience and talent. She was the first Carmen at the Saigon Opera in Vietnam, a role she went on to perform on various French national stages, then Frédégonde by Saint-Saëns at the same house, Jacqueline in Le Médecin malgré lui by Gounod at theOpéra de Saint-Etienne, Nancy Tang in Nixon in China by Adams at the Théâtre du Châtelet . She created the role of Galathée in Pesson’s Pastorale at the Théâtre du Châtelet, performed Candelas in Falla’s El Amor Brujo, Ulrica in Verdi’s Le Bal Masqué at the Théâtre Mancinelli in Italy, Offenbach’s La Grande Duchesse de Gérolstein, La Périchole, etc…
Creation of Sophie Leleu's first Arabic melody "Huna", written to a poem by May Ziadé, which will be the subject of a cycle of multilingual melodies for song and piano, written to the words of forgotten poetesses: "Souviens-toi!", in the conservatory auditorium at 7:00 pm, with Claire Pigeot on piano.
